PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Twin bomb blast hit an Indian express train

Twin explosions were reported from two carriages of an Indian train travelling from the north-eastern city of Guwahati to the southern city of Bangalore. At least one women has been killed and 14 others injured, reported BBC. The explosion occurred just after train stopped at the station.

British Soldiers killed as NATO helicopter crashes in Southern Afghanistan

New division of "Bhanbhor" formed by Sindh Government

The Bhanbhor division consists Thatta, Sajawal, and Badin districts Karachi : Sindh government has announced the sixth division of Sindh, 'Bhanbhor', which is carved out of Hyderabad division and consist of  Thatta, Badin, and Sajawal districts with its headquarters at Makli. The ruined city of Bhanbhor is located about 70 km from Karachi on Nation Highway leading towards Thatta over Gharo creek.

An Afghan gunman kills three Americans in a hospital attack

Kabul : Three Americans were killed when a security guard opened fire at a Kabul hospital funded by a US Christian charity Cure, according to media reports. US embassy official has confirmed that three Americans were killed while fourth was wounded without giving further details.

12 killed as Pakistani jets attack Khyber Agency

Islamabad : Pakistani jet fighters attack suspected militant hideouts in Khyber Agency near Afghan border on Thursday killing twelve and injuring more than 15 according to Geo News.  The strikes came despite efforts by Nawaz government to engage the Taliban in talks to end years of fighting with insurgency. Both the Taliban and government committees meet yesterday and announced that they were very near to achieve stability and peace in the country.

More than 300 feared dead after South Korean ferry disaster

South Korean passenger ferry was carrying teenagers of a high school for a trip  Seoul : More than 300 people were missing after a South Korean passenger ferry disaster in the southern coast of the country.  Until Wednesday evening, four people were confirmed dead and about 291 were still unaccounted as passenger ferry almost submerged into the water, raising the fear that rest of the people were already dead.

Pakistani brothers held over eating human flesh

Police arrested Muhammad Arif, one of the brother, and recovered the body parts of a child  Bakkhar : Two brothers who arrested and sentenced for eating five corpses have again been found involved in cannibalism, according to media reports. Two brothers, Mohammad Arif and Muhammd Farman were found eating a child's corpse, when police arrested one of them and recovered a child's body parts while other brother managed to flee before he could be arrested.

Australian PM confident over plane signals

International search teams are searching around the pinpointed area Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot has said that he is confident the signals monitored by Chinese ship were from the black box missing plane MH370. The search has been intensified in the area and Australian PM hopes that they could find the black box in the vicinity of one kilometre around pin pointed area.

A bomb disposal squad is searching for possible IED at the place of bomb blast Islamabad : United Baluchistan Army, an outfit separatism faction of Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA), claims the responsibility of the terror attack of early morning attack in vegetable market of Islamabad in which 24 people were killed and more than hundred were injured.

China say it has detected 'Pulse Signal' of missing Malaysian flight MH370

Chinese has declared that their ship in the area which is part of multinational search effort, has detected a "Pulse Signal" in southern Indian Ocean waters, China's official news agency reported. Haixun 01, which is a black box detector picked up a signal at 37.5 Hz per second on Saturday at around 25 degrees south latitude and 101 degrees east longitude, according to the Associated Press news agency.

Sri Lanka beat West Indies by 27 runs D/L method

Bravo scored 46 runs from 26 balls by hitting 4 sixes and 2 fours whereas Sammy remained not out on 42 by hitting 2 sixes and 5 fours.

Sri Lanka through Semi Finals after defeating New Zealand

Netherlands humiliate England in World cup T20

England after winning the toss decided to field first, Netherlands scored 133/5 wickets in 20 overs. Barresi was top scorer from Netherlands side by scoring 48 runs from 45 balls.
