PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

New division of "Bhanbhor" formed by Sindh Government

The Bhanbhor division consists Thatta, Sajawal, and Badin districts

Karachi: Sindh government has announced the sixth division of Sindh, 'Bhanbhor', which is carved out of Hyderabad division and consist of  Thatta, Badin, and Sajawal districts with its headquarters at Makli.

The ruined city of Bhanbhor is located about 70 km from Karachi on Nation Highway leading towards Thatta over Gharo creek.

Bhanbhor has remained the Capital of Sindh for centuries and it is said to be having some well known historical sites; it is home of legendary "Sassi" or "Sassui" and "Punho" which is consistently mentioned in the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai. 

Bhanbhor is also gateway for Muslims when Muhammad Bin Qasim battled then ruler of Sindh Raja Dahir in 711 AD.

On the other hand Makli is well-known for its ancient graveyard which holds the tombs of the rulers of Sindh.

Bhanbhor Division will facilitate the development of these backward areas of Sindh, it will also help in mega project of Zulfiqar Abad, a new port city, which is 155 km from Karachi at famous and ancient port of  "Ketti Bandar" near Thatta.
