PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Sri Lanka beat India by 2 wickets in a thriller Asia cup match

Sri Lanka after winning the toss put India to bat first. India batting first scored 264/9 in allotted 50 overs, Dhawan was top scorer from Indian side who scored 94 runs.

Pakistan Beat Afghanistan by 72 runs

Umer Akmal played an anchor's role in Pakistan innings by scoring 102 runs (Photo AFP) Fatullah : Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 72 runs in the third match of the tournament here in Bangladesh.  Afghanistan won the toss and decided to field first and troubled the Pakistan as they lost 6 wickets on 117 runs but Umar Akmal played well for Pakistan and put up a respective total of 248 runs. Umer Akmal remained not out on 102 runs and was given man of the match award.

India beat Bangladesh by 6 wickets in Asia Cup Cricket

India won the toss and decided to field first, batting first Bangladesh scored 279 runs in allotted 50 overs, Mushfiqur Rahim scored 117 runs. Muhammad Shami of India took 4 Bangladesh wickets. 

Suicide Bomber blast himself outside Iranian consulate in Peshawar

Peshawar have been under many attacks since Pakistani government announced to talk with Taliban Peshawar : A suicide bomber blasts himself outside Iranian consulate in Peshawar killing two soldiers and wounding many, according to officials. According to police a suspicious white vehicle stopped near a security check post near the Iranian consul-general's office which followed an immediate blast.

Taliban Commander Asmatullah Shaheen reported killed in a an ambush in North Waziristan

Asmatullah Shaeen Bittani has remained acting TTP commander after the death of Hakemullah Mehsud Peshawar : A key member of Tahreek-i-Taliban Pakistan's Shura, Asmatullah Shaheen Bittani was reportedly killed by unknown gunmen along with three others in Ghulam Khan Teshsil of the North Waziristan tribal area, according to media reports. He has remained acting TTP chief after Hakeemullah Mehsud's death and also headed the shura of Taliban, TTP has not confirmed his death yet.

Pakistani Porn Cinema attack left 10 dead

Rescue workers are inspecting the location after grenade attack in the cinema Peshawar : At least 10 people were killed and dozens injured after a cinema was attacked with two grenades in troubled capital of KPK. The attack came two weeks after another cinema was attacked in similar way in which four people were killed. 

PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf is dismissed

Zaka Ashraf has to announce Pakistan team coach today Islamabad : Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Asharaf is removed and whole PCB working body is also dismantled by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.  The timings of the removal are very critical as Pakistan has been isolated after Big Three issue, and former Chairman Zaka Ashraf has been complaining about chief patron Nawaz Sharif who, despite of repeated calls from PCB Chairman didn't bothered to meet him.

TTP Negotiator rejects talks with Pakistan under constitution

Molvi Abdul Aziz, Addressing press conference in Lal Masjid Islamabad : One of the member of the negotiating team representing Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Moulana Abdul Aziz expressed his reservations over the dialogue by saying that he would not be part of further negotiations.

Taliban Claimed to Capture a NATO Military Dog

Taliban video claimed that they captured the dog from US forces Kabul : Taliban has claimed to captured a military working dog in a video which they say they captured it after a fire fight in eastern Afghanistan in last December which is also confirmed by NATO Military Officials in Afghanistan.

Warid Telecom to launch 4G LTE services in Pakistan

Islamabad : Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has accepted the plea of Ward Telecom to permit it to launch 4 G services in the country. With this, Ward Telecom has become second company to acquire the 4G licence after China Mobile company Zong.
