PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

South Africa beat Pakistan by an innings and 92 runs

South African player Du Plessis caught rubbing the ball on the zipper of his trousers Dubai : South Africa has beaten Pakistan by an innings and 92 runs in second test match here at Dubai and leveled the two match series by 1-1. The final test has raised a new controversy over ball tempering issue in which one of the South African player Du Plessis was seen rubbing the ball on the zipper of his trouser for which he was penalized.

ICC did not mentioned other incident in which a player was seen scratching the ball with his thumb nail Dubai : South African player Du Plessis fined 50% of match fees for tempering the ball in second test against Pakistan. Du Plessis was pleaded guilty and charged under article 2.2.9 of the ICC code of conduct which related to "Changing the condition of the ball in breach of law 42.3, of Laws of Cricket which was recently modified by ICC standard Test match, one day and T20 international match playing conditions under clause 41.2.

South African Players Caught in Ball Tempering

South African player caught in ball tempering  Dubai : South African players caught tempering the ball twice after that umpires changed the ball and penalized the team for five runs. The incident occurred during the 31st over of Pakistani innings and about couple of overs after the tea when a South African player was caught on camera by rubbing the ball deliberately on the zipper of his trouser and another TV video showed another player making a hole in the ball with the help of his nail.

  Aleem Dar's Decision to change the ball has sparked much debate and suspicion Although, the history of ball tempering is very long but ICC has been very strict over the players to not temper the ball.  The players always used to rub the ball from one side so that to acquire a reverse swing, (a term in which the ball swings on the other side of its air path motion).

Warid Telecom to launch 4G LTE services in Pakistan

Islamabad : Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has accepted the plea of Ward Telecom to permit it to launch 4 G services in the country. With this, Ward Telecom has become second company to acquire the 4G licence after China Mobile company Zong.
