PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

19 more perish, hundreds stranded in rain-hit Balochistan and KP as more rains predicted across the counrtry

  Heavy rains and floods have unleashed devastation in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, leaving 19 more dead and hundreds of others stranded in both provinces, disaster management authorities said. 

Rains wreak havoc across country, Rescue, relief work ongoing

  Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) troops on Thursday assisted the civil administration with rescue and relief efforts in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab as monsoon rainfall continued to wreak havoc across the country. 

At least 13 people were Kidnapped and killed in Mach Baluchistan

Sibi, Baluchistan: At least 13 out of 22 kidnapped travelers were killed in Mach, Baluchistan, when unknown gunmen stopped two Punjab bound buses coming from Quetta and  kidnapped 22 after checking their identity. Gunmen stopped the buses and after identification, kidnapped 22 travellers which were going to their native villages for celebration of Eid ul Fitr, local media reported.

At least seven Pakistani coastguards were killed by gunmen in Baluchistan

  Gawadar is a Pakistan's strategic port which is handed over to China for operations Quetta : Gunmen attack on a check post has killed at least 7 coastguard men and wounding seven others, officials said.  The attack took place in the Suntsar area of Gwadar district, about, 1420 kilometers southwest of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province which is the oil and gas rich.

Warid Telecom to launch 4G LTE services in Pakistan

Islamabad : Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has accepted the plea of Ward Telecom to permit it to launch 4 G services in the country. With this, Ward Telecom has become second company to acquire the 4G licence after China Mobile company Zong.
