PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Lahore : The opposition leader in Punjab assembly Raja Riaz has demanded from Election Commission of Pakistan to put ban on Sharif Brothers in contesting the election in the light of Supreme Court ruling.

In its land mark ruling in former Air Force Chief Asghar Khan's case which was filed in 1996, the Supreme Court declared the 1990 election rigged and ordered proceedings against the than Army Chief General Mirza Aslam Baig and ISI Chief Asad Durrani, and Younas Habib which were responsible of creating and funding IJI (Islami Jamhori Itehad) against the Benazir Bhutto's Peoples Party.

The Supreme Court order also declares the 1990 elections rigged, astonishingly Supreme Court did not named any politicians involved but only suggested to take action against them through lower courts .

The IJI was leaded by than Punjab Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif along with Muslim league Functional, Jamate Islami, MQM and many other parties and the result modified to set the stage for PML(N) to win. 

The opposition leader also demanded from Sharif Brothers to apologize from nation for their crimes against the democracy.

Despite of Supreme Courts clear decision, none of the involved politician has turned out to apologize from Nation.
