PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Corona Pandemic: Govt announces a relief package of worth of 950 billion


Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan after convening a National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting today (Friday) to review the measures taken against the pandemic has announced relief measures for the nation.

Addressing a press conference he announced immediate relief of 15 rupees/liter on all petroleum products including Patrol, Diesel and kerosene.

Electric and Gas bills upto 3000/month are to be paid in three months installments.

Imran Khan also announced a package of 200 billions for daily wages workers giving away 3000 thousand per months to a house.

A package 50 billions rupees is set for utility stores to give direct relief to the people, whereas, taxes has been removed or minimized from utility services.

A worth of 280 billion rupees were reserved for purchasing wheat of new crop.

An amount of 25 billion is reserved for NDMA to coup with further spread of the pandemic.
