IMU released the photos attackers along with statement published on Uzbek Jihadi website Furqon form Usman Ghazii, the Ameer of IMU.

"On midnight of Monday ten brave martyrdom seeking mujaahids of Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan wearing their explosive-filled vests attacked very special section of Karachi International Airport of Pakistan which is not visible to the common folk visiting the Airport. The operation continued nearly six hours and our mujaahids destroyed many of the fighter jets, American drones and other military planes not visible to the passengers along with killing many security forces. In the end, these ten mujaahids who sold their loves for Jannah became shaheed as they were eager for it. Verily, all strength, praises and honor belongs to Allah", said the IMU statement.

Previously, Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had already taken responsibility of this attack to avenge their killed leader Hakimullah Mehsud while IMU claims that their attack was in response to air strikes of Pakistan military in tribal areas.

All the terrorists are looking young ageing between 18 to 24 and seems to belong a mixture of Uzbek and Pakistani origins.

The terrorist's claim of the availability of fighter jets and drone is completely misleading as Karachi International airport is purely run and controlled by Civil Aviation Authority and there is no need to put these weapons at an unsafe place like civil airport.

The pictures posted on the website would have been taken in January-February as snow could be seen in the back ground.
