PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Peshawar : After a silence of more than six months or so, drones are back again in Pakistani tribal areas with their first claim of killing at least six people in North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday.

CIA operated drone fired two missiles at a compound in Dabbai area in Tehsil Ghulam Kha killing six and wounding many and destroying the compound completely,  according to media reports.

According to some other reports, the drone struck an explosive laden vehicle parked inside the compound killing four Uzbeks and two Punjabi Taliban, said a senior security official which intercepted a radio message talking about the drone in which he was asking others to reach the site and search for any one injured in the strike and to dig out the dead bodies.
