Quetta : Pakistan Air Force flew 150 Shia pilgrims which returned from Iran to Pakistan on its C 130 aircraft amid security threats from Dalbandin Airport to Quetta.
Around 300 pilgrims in seven coaches returned from Iran and out of them 150 were taken to Quetta and rest of the pilgrims are waiting on Airport for next sortie, according to Chagai Deputy Commissioner Saifullah Khetran.
Tight security arrangements were made on routes after recent bomb blasts which killed more than 30 shia pilgrims including women and children which followed country wide protests and strikes.
Its the biggest and important airport in the Balochistan province, Quetta International Airport is located 12km south-west of Quetta, Pakistan. It is the fourth highest airport in the country and the second biggest in the southern region.
