PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Damascus: Syrian Army retakes key areas in suburbs of Adra near Damascus where hundreds of militants are fighting against government forces.

According to a recent British defense study about 100,000 militants, fragmented into 1,000 groups, are fighting in Syria against the government and people.

The report was published by British defense consultancy IHS Jane's which reported that some 10,000 militants are fighting for groups affiliated with al-Qaeda such as the al-Nusra Front and some other groups.

Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since March 2011 and according to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies like are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

On the other hand, Syrian President with the support of Russia and Iran has vowed to wipe out the militants from Syria due to which the lives of ordinary people are becoming worst and Syrian are on the verge of divide on basis of religion and sect. 

Recent reports of UN chemical investigation in Syria has revealed that chemical weapons were used for more than 10-15 times in Syria but it is unclear that who used these weapons.
