Cairo : The top leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood will be trialed on Sunday on the charges of inciting violence and killing protesters, Xinhua news quoting local media reported Saturday.
The office of the prosecutor announced that the Muslim Brotherhood's General Guide Mohamed Badie, who was arrested Tuesday, would appear at criminal court on Sunday.
According to the statement, "Badie, along with his two deputies, Khairat al-Shater and Mohamed Saad al-Katatni, will appear at court tomorrow (Sunday), they face criminal charges including inciting violence and killing anti-Morsi protesters outside the Muslim Brotherhood's Guidance Bureau,".
More than 1,000 people including 100 policemen have been killed since the military's dispersal of the two pro-Morsi sit-ins in Cairo and Giza on 14 August and hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood members were reportedly arrested then.
