Raid on Osama Bin Laden compound was guided from space, says report

Media and journalists gathered around bin laden compound after U.S raid
Washington: According to classified documents obtained by Washington Post from former official, Edward Snowden, the US commando raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad was guided from space by a fleet of satellites.

The report further said that the satellites remained focused on Pakistan for some time even after the Al Qaeda leader was killed.

According to these documents, the NSA also penetrated communications among Al Qaeda operatives by tracking calls from mobile phones identified by specific calling patterns and through which CIA pinpointed the geographic location of one of the phones and linked it to the compound in Abbottabad.

Report also suggested that a forensic intelligence laboratory run by the US Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan analyzed DNA from Osama bin Laden’s corpse and “provided a conclusive match” confirming his identity.
