PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

General Musharaf threatened BB to not return Pakistan

Islamabad : Pakistan's supreme court has finally charged former General and dictator Pervaiz Musharaf in connection with assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. 


Musharaf was charged by prosecutors in murder, conspiracy to murder, and facilitation of murder in gun and bomb attack which killed Benazir Bhutto after she addressed a rally in Rawalpindi on 27 December, 2007.

American lobbyist Mark Siegel, a former Bhutto speech writer, has accused Mr. Musharraf of threatening her in a phone call before she returned to Pakistan from exile in October 2007. However, VOA reported that Siegel's U.S. law firm Locke Lord declined to comment when asked for his reaction to the indictment. 

Former General is has also to face his another murder case of renowned Balouch leader, Akbar Bugti, who was also assassinated during his rule, the case is in process in Quetta high court. 

General Musharaf is currently under house arrest in his personal form in Islamabad.
