Damascus : The U.N. chemical weapons inspectors team which were collecting samples from alleged site has been attacked by snipers in rebel-held suburb of Damascus.
Reuters News agency quoted a Syrian doctor from the suburb, Mouadamiya, that investigators from the United Nations had crossed the front line from the center of the capital, which remains under the control of President Bashar al-Assad's forces.
The U.N. confirmed that the team is back after completing the task of collecting the samples, however, U.N confirmed that one vehicle in its convoy had been crippled by shooting by "unidentified snipers", but mentioned no injuries.
