Government Troops Did Not Use Chemical Weapons, Says Bashar Assad

Moscow: Syrian President Bashar Assad claims that his troops are not involved in chemical weapons attack near on rebel-held suburb in a Damascus in which hundreds of people died last week.

President Bashar Assad cleared his government’s position by saying that the accusations that his troops were responsible were "politically motivated and attacking such an area with chemical weapons would not make sense for the government as there was no clear front line between regime and rebel forces.

Bahar Al Assad told this to Russia's Izvestia daily in an interview which published Monday and reported by Huffingtonpost

Syrian government has given clearance to a U.N. team to visit the chemical attack site on Monday but a senior White House official dismissed the deal as "too late to be credible."

The Chemical attack near the suburbs of Damascus has raised many questions and concerns as many defense analyst suspect the involvement of neighboring countries

U.S has threatened Syria to attack but on the other hand Syrian close allies Russia and Iran has warned of severe consequences if his ally Syria is attacked.

An other bad sign is that Syrian rebels has claimed to get a very huge cache of weapon of about 400 tons, which includes Anti-aircraft, and anti-tank weapons.
