PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Quetta : Gunmen attack on a check post has killed at least 7 coastguard men and wounding seven others, officials said. 

The attack took place in the Suntsar area of Gwadar district, about, 1420 kilometers southwest of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province which is the oil and gas rich. 

Provincial home secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani told AFP that, "Around 24 gunmen armed with rockets and heavy weapons, attacked the check post and killed seven coastguard officials,". 

Oil, Gas, and Minerals rich Baluchistan province has been a flash point on many fronts including, Nationalist , Islamist, Sectarian violence and a solid base camp for foreign agencies including Indian RAW, Israeli MOSAD,  and American CIA.

Baluchistan is also located at an strategic place bordering Iran and Afghanistan with an important port of Gawadar which was recently handed over to China by Zardari government despite serious concerns of United States.
