As PCGamer reports, Intel Chief Financial Officer Dave Zinsner gave an interview with Citi last month and was asked about the company's surprise market share gains recently.
As part of his response, Zinsner suggested that a new version of Windows be released next year:
We actually think '24 is going to be a pretty good year for clients, in particular, because of the Windows refresh. We still think that the installed base is pretty old and does require a refresh and we think next year may be the start of that, given the Windows catalyst.
So we're optimistic about how things will play out beginning in '24."
Windows 12 isn't mentioned specifically, but as Windows Central points out, "Windows refresh" was the term used to describe Windows 11 before it was officially announced.
