PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Dollar soars to Rs162.8 in interbank trade


The Pakistani rupee once again depreciated by 4 rupees at the start of the day in interbank session but showed some stability at the end. 

Currently rupees was floating at the price of 162.8 against the US dollor in Thursday's interbank session.

The Pakistani Rupee depreciated by Rs2.6 against the US Dollar in Wednesday’s interbank session.

Whereas; rupees is being traded on 161 against the US dollor in Open Market. 

The local currency closed the day’s trade at Rs161.61 per USD, as against yesterday’s closing at Rs159.01 per USD. 

The rupee endured a highly volatile trading session with quotes being recorded in a range of Rs3.70 per USD, showing an intraday high bid of 162.75 and an intraday low offer of 159.45. PKR was traded at 158.50/160 per USD in the open market.
