PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Islamabad : Makhdom Javed Hashmi, a senior member of Imran Khan's PTI has today (Sunday) announced that he is parting his ways with Imran Khan on the issue of storming the Prime Minister's house and Parliament.

Javed Hashmi in his press conference made clear that storming of Parliament and PM house was not in the plan of PTI's march, but later Imran Khan changed his mind when Sheikh Rashed and one other member brought a message from some high level authority to move forward. 

He (Hashmi) said that he protested on the Imran Khan's call and asked Imran Khan to not march further towards the parliament as it would not be good for the cause of democracy but Imran Khan said that he was leader and Hashmi has to obey his orders.

Hashmi said that why should we be part of such an act (desolation of the Parliament) to which we will be regretting for coming fifteen years or more.

Hashimi's parting the party would be a big blow to Imran Khan who confirmed in his speech that from today onward "our ways are parted".

Imran Khan has also discharged two more of his MNA's along with Hashmi from National Assembly seats.

The Hashmi left PML'N' to join Imran Khan but he felt quite uncomfortable when the people like Sheikh Rasheed and Shah Mehmood Qureshi as he felt shadowed in their presence.
