The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.
Peshawar : Measles shots caused deaths in Khyber Pakhtoonkhuwa province of Pakistan where people already think that vaccination and Polio drops are harmful for the children and some Muslim clerks also advocate such a message to commons.
At least five children are reported dead, and hundreds were rushed to hospitals after they fainted as they were administered the shots of Measles vaccine.
The first incident took place in Peshawar when two year old Mazhar died after reportedly having a reaction to the vaccine on Wednesday, while three more children were reported dead on Wednesday.
The fresh case to the measles vaccine death occurred Thursday after 11 months old, Hazrat Umar, died in Shabqadar, Charsada reported the Tribune.
K-P Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai has announced a committee comprising of local and foreign health experts including WHO, Unicef, district health officials and senior child specialists to probe deaths of children caused by the measles vaccine.
