Karachi : Former Pakistan Cricket star Javed Miandad has raised questions on the claims of out going PCB Chairman Najam Sethi that he has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the BCCI to play six bilateral series between 2015 and 2023.
Miandad questioned the value of the MOU as the BCCI's state itself is in uncertainty and no one is sure whether Srinivasan will remain in power any longer or not on the other hand Najam Sethi was working on ad-hoc basis and his team's main job was to hold elections so he (Sethi) was having no legal authority to sign any agreement with other board.
Miandad also pointed that since PCB's claims of signing of MOU there had not been any single statement from BCCI on the issue.
Javed Miandad also showed concerns over the decisions made by an adhoc committee which was appointed for a short term to hold elections of regions and in the board instead it made very high profile appointments and sacked over a 100 employees.
Javed Miandad said he was happy to see that courts had been restoring these employees and hoped that when also hoped when Zaka Ashraf will take the charge he would also set things right.
Zaka Ashraf was reinstated by Islamabad high court on this Saturday, on the other hand Najam Sethi has vowed to appeal against the decision.
