PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Karachi : Geo once again committed a blunder in its morning show programme by hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims by showing a marriage ceremony of controversial Pakistani nude star Venna Malik and relating her with the marriage ceremony of the Prophet peace be upon him's beloved daughter Bibi Fatima (R.A) and her Husband Ali (R.A).

These sentiments arouse fierce anger against Geo channel around the world which is already under scrutiny by criticizing the Pakistani intelligence agency I.S.I and army has already sought closer of Geo in Pakistan.

Geo immediately apologized the act and PEMRA ordered to ban the programme in Pakistan but as the news spread in media and social networks, more condemnations came and issue is still being discussed on Pakistani media.
