Kabul: More than 2100 are confirmed dead after Friday's landslide in a remote mountain village of Afghan province Badakhshan, northeast of Afghanistan.
The spokesman of provincial governor told Reuters that, " More than 2,100 people from 300 families are confirmed dead".
There is a risk of further landslides in the region according to United Nations officials who say that they are focusing more on about 4,000 displaced people of the area.
