PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Mirpur, Bangladesh: Pakistan beat Australia in a nail biting match of T20 world cup. Pakistan were put up by Australia to bat first and they scored 191 runs for 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs, the Australian was very strong as they played a very good knock with the chasing run rate of about 12+ runs.

Maxwell played a brilliant knock of 74 runs
Australian batsman Maxwell scored 74 runs from mere 33 balls by hitting 6 sixes and 7 fours along with Finch who scored 65 runs from 54 balls and he also hit 2 sixes and 7 fours. The both batsman developed the partnership of 118 runs by maintaining the run rate of 12+ runs. 

Pakistani bowlers desperately tried to contain these two but the only relief came just after Maxwell was out by Shahid Afridi. 

Pakistan won the match as Austrians were all out on 175 runs in 20 overs. 

Umer Akmal was given the man of the match award which he dedicated to his elder brother Kamran Akmal.

Some special moments of the match: 
  • Maxwell scored his 74 with strike rate of 224.2 runs
  • Bilawal Bhatti of Pakistan gave away 31 runs in his first over but he gave away only five runs in his last over and took two wickets.
  • Australia scored 100 runs in only 11.2 overs.
  • Only two of Australian batsman were able to score in double figures.
  • Australia has previously chased twice the 191 total against Pakistan in T20 matches.
  • Australia only managed to get only 14 runs in last three overs and lost 5 wickets.
  • Saeed Ajmal dropped Maxwell on 71 runs.
  • Umer Akmal scored his carrier best score of 94 runs.
