Real Story of Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a 14 year Pakistani girl who survived an attack by gunmen in Sawat, Pakistan
This Saturday, after a long weekend, I found myself much tired and as I soon as I leaned on my bed my phone popped up with different messages and I was shocked to see that same messages was being forwarded from different sources.

The Message was about Pakistani girl Malala Yousafzai, which stated that actually Malala was not a Pakistani girl but she was born in Poland and later on, through Christian missionaries, she was brought in Pakistan and handed over to a Pakistani couple who was also converted to Christianity. Malala's actual name is Jane.
The message was accompanied with a link of Dawn News, and claimed that the Dawn News has published this link after its team carried out three months research in Swat valley, native place of Malala Yousafzai,  so I immediately put the link in my internet browser and  for my astonishment found the story of Malala on the Daily Dawn's said link.

But what was more astonishing, for my surprise, before the article, was the Disclaimer which stated that the article was a fiction and a satire.

Now question arises that how main stream people of Pakistan are exploited through messages and media and people even don't bother to verify the source either.

The story does not end only on the Malala issue but I can quote a lot of recent examples in which people deliberately hyped the news, just take the example of Rawalpindi case, whole social media was filled up with fake pictures after the clashes between Shia and Sunnis.

The million dollar question is when our people will attain the status of maturity, is this Islam we are following or we have to find actual Islam which states that, I quote Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said, "If someone calls a Muslim a Non Muslim and if he is not than the blamer will be so".  At other place he (PBUH) said that for a liar it is sufficient proof that he transfers each and every news to others with out verifying.

Time has come for us to proof ourselves a sober and matured nation, which not only keeps patience at the times real attacks by enemy but also keeps open her eyes to not become victimized by any sort of  propaganda.

The fictitious story on Malala Yousafzai could be found here on Dawn News
