PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Benghazi, Libya: The fresh violence in Benghazi has claimed more lives as the fresh fight between Salfi militia group Ansar-ul-Sharia and government loyal forces has erupted, according Xinhua news agency.

In the fresh fight at least 9 people have been killed and 54 injured, the clashes started after an attack on a special services military check post early in the morning which followed by more severe attacks by military.

According to local media, Ansar-ul-Sharia Headquarter was burnt down after the bloody clashes and many of the Militia members fled the area.

Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan visited the Benghazi on 11 November but was forced to leave as number of protesters shouted at him blaming the lack of security in the city.

Libya has been constant turmoil since the killing of former dictator Colonel Gadafi after a military intervention by the West.

Earlier in this year, United States Ambassador was also killed by unknown persons in Benghazi, which is blamed over Salfi militia, a Saudi Brand Islam which promotes militancy in peaceful Islam.

Almost most of the cities of Libya are filled up with different militia groups, which were created to topple the government of Gadafi but now they have created the law and order situation in the most of Libyan cities.

Yesterday, Libyan government reported that a militia group has attacked a military base and looted a large cache of arms from the base.

The Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan has called on the militias to leave the Tripoli but still no group has yet moved out of the city.

The worse scenario was witnessed by the world when, some Salfi Militia kidnapped the Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan for hours, a unique case ever heard in civilized world.
