PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Port Elizabeth: Pakistan, after a nail biting, twisting turning match, has defeated South Africa by mere 1 run and leads the three match series by 2-0.

Pakistan batting first, put 262 runs on the board, in reply South African played very well. Hashim Aamla and De Villiers put up a very good 110 runs partnership and at one stage they need 12 runs in 12 balls.

Saeed Ajmal bowled a brilliant second last over in which he took Hashim Amla's wicket, Hashim Amla was unluckily out on 98 runs.

In last over South Africa needed 9 runs to win, but Junaid Khan bowled a superb over in which he gave away nothing but took another South African wicket, At last ball South Africa needed 6 runs, still hoping for a miracle South African crowd was sitting mum, praying and biting the nails but last ball of Junaid khan was at full length which after hitting the pads of Miller rushed towards the boundary line with out changing the result of the match and Pakistan won the match by mere 1 run.

Pakistan also won the three match series by 2-0, remember, last match of series is still to be played on this Saturday.

Ahmed Shahzad was awarded man of the match award.
