New York: U.S has warned that more leaks from whistle blower Edward Snowden which contained “specific and classified details” about the country’s spying activities.
The new leaked document provide the road map to US adversaries, said Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Friday.
"The stories published yesterday, however, reveal specific and classified details about how we conduct this critical intelligence activity,” according to the statement.
“Anything that yesterday's disclosures add to the ongoing public debate is outweighed by the road map they give to our adversaries about the specific techniques we are using to try to intercept their communications in our attempts to keep America and our allies safe and to provide our leaders with the information they need to make difficult and critical national security decisions," it said.
The
New York Times, ProPublica and The Guardian reported on Thursday that
US and British spy agencies cracked the encryption that secures online
communications including emails, banking transactions and phone
conversations.
Snowden earlier leaked confidential information that showed the US National Security Agency collects data of phone records and Internet communication of American citizens.
Edward Snowden supplied reporters about 50,000 secret documents which he collected while he worked as a NSA contractor.
