PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Taliban denied that they are in any kind of peace talks with Pakistan
Islamabad: In his announcement, a few days ago, Pakistan's interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the dialogue with Tahreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has started and good results of it are on the way.


But, a spokesman for Taliban, on Saturday, denied that the TTP is having any peace talks with Pakistani government by rejecting Chaudhry Nisar's statement.

This Sunday, Interior Minister, Chaudry Nisar has again retreated back by saying that the dialogue with Taliban has yet to be initiated and Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif will soon take parliament into confidence before initiating any dialogue with Taliban.

The interior ministry has remained under immense pressure from media since he took office few months ago, and many times he has taken back his staement.

Few days ago, Chaudhry Nisar has declared that MQM has formed an elite army in the name of "Mohajir Republican Army" but when asked by Supreme Court to give proofs so that the court could take against it, he U turn and immediately took his statement back by saying the report was immature.
