The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.
Islamabad : A Pakistani man Malik Amer Muhammad Khan Afridi get threats from Taliban as they brand it "un-Islamic" and demanded to shave off but Afridi is not going to give in, reported by Aljazeera english.
Malik Amer, 48 year old man told AFP that,"People give me a lot of respect. It's my identity, I feel happy. When it's ordinary, no one gives me any attention. I got used to all the attention and I like it a lot,"
Afridi, a businessmen, had been demanded the protection money of around $500 a month from Lashkar-e-Islam, an ally of the Taliban, when Afridi refused to pay the wealth, he was kidnapped and held hostage by the group for a month.
