PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Damascus : Syrian government has acquired full control of the strategic al-Khalidieh district of the central province of Homs, reported Chinese xinhua news agency. 

The major offensive was started last Saturday aagainst the strategic district, which is one of the few districts left under the rebels' control in the Homs province.
 
The main focus of Syrian government troops is to to secure Homs province. Its gaining the control over step by step and it latest important gain was the recapturing of the city of al-Qussair on the borders with Lebanon last month with the help of Hezbollah. 

Syrian Army's main concern is the northern province of Aleppo but before dealing with going there, it is important to secure southern and central areas in Syria.
