PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Lahore : Former Pakistani Cricketer Moin Khan has been appointed the Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket board on the place of Iqbal Qasim, who resigned after Pakistan lost all three of their group matches in ICC Champions Trophy in England.
Moin Khan was the member of Pakistani squad who won the world cup in captaincy of Imran Khan in 1992. He has played 69 Test matches and 219 one-day internationals as a wicketkeeper-batsman for Pakistan during a 14-year career.

"Moin met with the PCB acting chairman Najam Sethi and discussed in detail the role of the selectors and his vision for the future," said a spokesperson for the Pakistan Cricket Board. 

The Acting Najam Sethi is also facing of charges of illegally occupying the post of PCB Chairmanship and his case is pending in local court.

Najam Sethi to appeal against Zaka Ashraf's reinstatement

Zaka Asharf was suspended by court on "dubious election" in 2013 but was reinstated earlier this year but current Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif removed Zaka and put back his close ally Najam Sethi.
