| Two compartments destroyed by blasts and fire |
Karachi : At 45 people were killed and over 150 injured in twin bomb blast in Abbas Town. The blast took place at about 7 p.m local time and was placed in a mini truck near the entrance of Iqra city a residential area.
The police officials said that around 150 kg of explosive was used in the blast. A second explosion was carried of by a suicider who blew him self up after first explosion.
The bomb contained lethal chemicals due to which two housing compartments of around 200 flats were destroyed by blast and fire.
The bomb was of same kind as used in Marriott hotel Islamabad and Hazara town in Quetta.
No group has yet claimed responsibility.
