Washington : CIA director David Petraeus has resigned over extra-marital affairs with a reporter.
The top spy agency chief acknowledged this as saying, "After being married for 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair," he wrote. "Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours.
The women with whom David Petraeus has affair is Paula Broadwell, according to a person familiar with the matter. She is an author who wrote a biography of Petraeus titled "All In".
Much of the dramatic events are still unknown about the resignation that what prompted a sudden resignation of CIA chief only after few days of presidential elections.
