New GeForce RTX 40 Super series of graphics cards
Nvidia has announced the updated GeForce RTX 40 Super series of graphics cards, which will be replacing most of their existing non-Super counterparts in the company's lineup.
The new series includes the RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4070 Super.
Aside from the RTX 4070 Super, the other two models will be replacing their non-Super versions while the regular RTX 4070 is dropping in price.
The big change with all of these cards is the increase in the CUDA core count.
The RTX 4080 Super gets 5.3% additional cores while the RTX 4070 Ti gets a much more significant 10% increase.
The RTX 4070, meanwhile, gets a substantial 22% increase.

The 4070 Ti also gets a bump in memory, now featuring 16GB GDDR6X with a 256-bit wide memory bus, the same as the 4080 models.
This gives it a pretty substantial 33% boost to the memory bandwidth. The 4080 Super also gets a slight bump to its memory bandwidth by having higher-clocked memory.
Aside from that, there are no other changes to these GPUs and even the power consumption figures are largely similar.
Externally, the Founders Edition models of the RTX 4080 Super and the RTX 4070 Super now feature a darker gunmetal finish to the metal frame and darker branding.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super still does not get a FE model and is only available through board partners.
The RTX 4080 Super will be available for $999, which is a substantial drop from the $1199 price for the original model. It will be available starting January 31.
The RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super will be available at the same $799 and $599 as their non-Super variants.
They will be available starting January 24 and January 17, respectively. The RTX 4070 has been dropped down to $549.
