Samsung to announce the Galaxy S24 series on January 18

Samsung introduced its Galaxy S flagships in the first quarter of the year, a tradition going on for over a decade.

According to the latest tip, the Galaxy S24 series will arrive quite early - the Unpacked event is said to take place on January 18. The information comes from Ice Universe, a leakster with great track record with Samsung-related products.

Last time we saw a Samsung launch in January was in 2021 when the Galaxy S21 lineup was introduced. Back then, the reason was the company wanted to introduce a refreshed lineup in pandemic times to maintain consumer demand.

This time, the eventual early launch will have a more pragmatic reason - Samsung and Qualcomm will be launching their next-gen chipsets earlier and they will be more than ready with final products by the time the Galaxy S24 arrives.
