Samsung started public beta testing the next release of its Android skin, One UI 6, which is based on Android 14, last month.
Unsurprisingly, the rollout started with the Galaxy S23 family, the latest flagship line from the Korean device maker.
After that you may have expected the Galaxy S22 models to be next in line, but no - they've only been added to the beta program today.
And so far, only in Korea, but undoubtedly more regions will follow soon.
It's an odd decision on Samsung's part to hold off on releasing the One UI 6 beta for last year's flagships for so long - especially seeing as how mid-rangers like the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 have both been added to the program earlier.
It will be interesting to see if this release timing will be repeated for the final, stable builds once those start going out. In the meantime, good news if you have a Galaxy S22, S22+, or S22 Ultra - you will soon be able to partake in the One UI 6 beta program, if you can't already.
