Google mocks the iPhone 15 Pro Max in latest ad

Google's series of video ads under the "#BestPhonesForever" moniker continues today with the latest installment, a "scary story" about how wonderful and AI-filled the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro launch on October 4 will be.

That is, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max portrayed alongside the Pixel 7 Pro in this video.

The iPhone, in Google's opinion, only got "a different mute button, a dynamic-er island, and a new charging port".

The iPhone is thus nervous about the prospect of the Pixel 8 Pro being more innovative, and getting "the best AI", whatever that means.

So much so, in fact, that the iPhone outright says that people are going to be talking about the Pixel 8 devices, including their "eye-catching design", giving them "all kinds of attention".

The implication is pretty transparent here - the iPhone is afraid that the upcoming Pixel will be more hyped. That's hilarious considering how people lined up in multiple countries to get the iPhone 15 Pro and especially the Pro Max, and it's exactly the opposite of reality, but Google can dream, of course.

These ads are meant to be cute with the BFF theme and all, but they're just a way for Google to attack Apple where it thinks it will hurt. This time around, however, it seems like quite a misfire.
