PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

China sent Martial Arts Specialist troops to Indian border before clashes


BEIJING: China claimed to sent Martial Arts fighters and Mountain climbers troops shortly before a deadly clash this month, state media reported.
 
Tensions are common between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in the mountainous border terrain, but this month’s fighting was their deadliest encounter in over 50 years. 

Five new militia divisions including former members of a Mount Everest Olympic torch relay team and fighters from a mixed martial arts club presented themselves for inspection at Lhasa on June 15, official military newspaper China National Defence News reported. 

State broadcaster CCTV showed footage of hundreds of new troops lining up in the Tibetan capital.
