The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.
Islamabad: As Sugar and Wheat scandal continues to make headlines another scandal in the name of Power Sector surfaces in Pakistani Media .
A two member committee which was investigating issues and incentives given to Power Sector specially IPPs found huge irregularities which cost the government hundreds billions annually.
The report highlighted huge incentives given to Power sector companies specially IPPs in the name of fuel surcharges, production limits and variation in the Dollar rates.
The report is ready to be submitted with in days and thought to be more thrilling than previous Sugar and Wheat report which also involved big names including close allies of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
