Corona Pandemic: Iran seeks help from Pakistan to ease US sanctions

Islamabad: Iranian President seeks Pakistan help to lift US sanction on his country to fight Corona Pandemic, according to media reports.

In a letter, Iranian President Hassan Rohani requested Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to help lifting US sanctions so that Iran could Import medicine and necessary equipment to fight the Pandemic disease.

Iran is the second most Virus hit country after China and due to US sanctions import the problem is worsening.

PM Imran Khan has responded positively on Iran's request and talked with US president requesting him to lift sanctions on import of life saving drugs and equipment, told Foreign Office spokes person.

  • Sindh Govt has requested the help of Pak Army to coup with the situation. Sindh Govt has also asked to close Inter-province transport including rail system. 


  • Punjab has banned inter province transport, whereas, rail minister Sheikh Rasheed has confirmed limited rail transport in the country.


  • Federal and Provincial govt offices has been closed for next 15 days.


  • About 1600 more people crossed Iranian border , and are bound to their respective  native provinces.


  • Imran Khan has ordered to open Pak-Afghan border to let trucks carry goods in Afghanistan.
