PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

MPA who ran his vehicle over a traffic warden arrested today


Quetta : The Legislator who ran over his vehicle over a traffic police warden in Quetta's GPO Chowk this week, is arrested today. 

The incident initially came to light when footage of the legislator's vehicle ramming into the traffic officer began circulating on social media. 

Traffic Sergeant Haji Attaullah was seriously wounded in the accident and was taken to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Although MPA Achakzai confessed to involvement in the accident and Police knowing that the vehicle belonged to Majeed Khan Achakzai, a serving legislator belonging to the ruling coalition partners in the Balochistan government, the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), police lodged F.I.R against unknown persons. 

Later today, after mounting the pressure and footage of rampage becoming viral on social media Police lodged F.I.R and arrested the MPA.
