PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Pakistan defeated Australia by 356 runs in last test match here by winning the series 2-0, a biggest ever win by Pakistan against Australia.

Pakistan heaped up their score in first innings of 570 for 6 wickets, Younas Khan 213, Azhar Ali 109 and Misbah scoring 101 runs and in their second innings scored 293 for 3,  Misbah scoring his world record fastest century in 56 balls, and Azhar Ali his unbeaten consecutive hundreds in both innings of the match.

Australia failed in both innings by scoring 261 and 238 runs as Zulfiqar Babar took 5 for 120 runs.

The final wickets were shared between two unknown bowlers, Zulfiqar Babar and Yasir Shah as Pakistan was playing in the absence of their world class spinner Saeed Ajmal for which Australian have prepared a much and even they hired world class spinner Murlitharan to coach them.

Pakistan has jumped to 3rd position from 6th in Test rankings which is their best after January, 2007 when they got 3rd  ranking after they beat South Africa. Australia still enjoys 2nd position despite their defeat in the test series.
