PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Mirpur : Pakistan has chased its highest ever total against Bangladesh as they won the match by 3 wickets dashing the hopes of if and buts of Bangladesh and India.

Playing first Bangladesh heaped up the score of 326 runs for 3 wickets which was highest ever total of Bangladesh against Pakistan.

In reply Pakistan played well, Ahmed Shehzad 103, Fawad Alam 74, Hafeez 52, and a brilliant knock once again by Shahid Khan Afridi who played very well and scored 59 runs from 25 balls by hitting 2 fours and 7 sixes.

Shahid Khan Afridi was awarded man of the match for his brilliant innings. Shahid Afridi has also equalled his previous fastest fifty record on 18 balls.

With this match Pakistan has qualified for the final of Asia cup which will be played with Sri Lanka. 

Special thing of the match was the over of Abdru Rehman (Pakistan) who gave away 8 runs with out actually bowling any ball to be counted. Abdul Rehman bowled three consequent beamer balls and was warned and deprived of bowling in his very first over. In this way he gave away 8 runs with out bowling any ball.
