PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Pakistani court orders production of General Musharaf in treason case

Islamabad : Supreme court of Pakistan has ordered the police to present former Pakistani president and retd Army General Pervaiz Musharaf tomorrow in supreme court in connection with treason case.

General Musharaf was due in the court today but he did not showed up, according to his legal team he was unable to appear in the court due to threats and lack of security.
While IG police told media that there is no imminent threat to Musharaf and they have taken appropriate measures to ensure the security of General.

On other hand, Musharaf's Council, Mr Ahmed Raza Kasuri told the court that Judiciary would be responsible if any untoward incident took place including bombing of Musharaf, he threatened the court that about a kilogram of explosives has been recovered from the vicinity of Musharaf's farm house few days ago and the court including three judges would be responsible if some thing happens to him.

Responding to that, justice Faisal Arab, head of the special court, cautioned Kasuri not to threat the court, he added that the counsel's point is noted.

Faisal Arab, who is heading the special court, ordered to bring Musharaf in the court tomorrow as the court could not stop its hearing due to security threats.
