PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Cairo: One of the biggest shipment ammunition consist of shoulder-fired weapons and anti-aircraft machine guns have reached in the hands of Syrian rebels reported Ahram Online quoting Syrian rebels. 

According to rebels, gulf-based supporters have sent a 400-ton shipment of arms which is the biggest ever to reach in rebel hands since uprising has begun two years ago.

The rebel official Mohammad Salam told Reuters that "Twenty trailers crossed from Turkey and are being distributed to arms depots for several brigades across the north," he also said that flow of arms have increased since chemical attack took place. 

The Rebel units operating in northern Syria include Liwa al-Islam ‘The Division of Islam’, Sukur al-Sham ‘The Hawks of Syria’, The Free Martyrs of Syria, Ahfad al-Rasul ‘The Grandsons of the Prophet’ and Ahrar al-Sham ‘The Freemen of Syria’. 

According to rebel officer the weapons still waiting to cross into Syria from Turkey included more sophisticated anti-tank guided weapons. 

Some fear that the weapons may end up into the hands of Al-Qaeda to eventually may be used against neighboring Israel.
