PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Colombo : Sri Lanka beat South Africa by 17 runs by D/L method, after rainy day due to which play was interrupted again and again.

Sri Lanka won the toss, choosing bat first they set the target of 223 for 9 in 49.2 overs, after rain interrupted the 4 balls of their innings. South African innings was reduced to 29 overs but when they were at the score of 104/5 in 21 overs the rain interrupted again and play was never started. At this stage they were 17 runs down, as the required score at this stage would have been 121.


Sri Lankan won the match by D/L method, which always favour the batting first team, and are 2-0 in the series.


Man of the match : Chandimal Sri Lanka who scored 43 runs.

South African team was playing with out Hashim Amla who was injured in the match.

  1. Hashim Amla injury and the rain were affecting much on the result of the match. Sri Lanka team performance was also nice.

Najam Sethi belongs to Geo News and has no experience of cricket Lahore :  Suspended PCB chief Najam Sethi declared on Sunday that he is ready to appeal against Islamabad High Court decision which reinstated his rival Zaka Ashraf.
