PILDAT says Feb 8 polls record lowest fairness score since 2013

  The Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) has issued a report detailing its assessment of the recently-concluded general election, expressing deep concerns over a decline in fairness scores compared to previous election cycles.

Islamabad : A Pakistan army soldier was killed and other injured in 'unprovoked' firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian Army in the disputed region of Kashmir, said Inter-services Public Relation (ISPR).

The firing incident took place on Rawlakot’s Nezapir sector near the LoC at about 10:30 am on Saturday in which Pakistan army soldier Asim Iqbal was killed and Naik Mohammad Khan was critically wounded reported Dawn News.

Firing on the LoC and regular border has increased since new government led by Nawaz Sharif  took charge in Pakistan. Both, Nawaz Sharif and Manmoohan Singh has vowed to established close ties between old rival countries.

Both countries has fought three major wars on disputed Kashmir since 1947 independence.
