London : The Leader of MQM, Altaf Hussain has announced that he is quitting the leadership of his party.
He also announced that he is handing over all responsibility and authority to MQM's Rabta Committee.
Speaking via telephone he said that Scotland Yard Police has raided his house few days ago and seized some material from his residence and now he is quitting the party leader ship on moral grounds.
Police also arrest and released a cousin of Altaf Hussain few days ago after investigations.
Altaf Hussain said that he would not seek help from any solicitor but rather plead the case himself if he were to be produced in the court of law in connection with Dr Imran Farooq murder case.
Dr Imran Farooq was co-founder of MQM than know as Mohajir Qoumi Movement but later transformed into Muthahida Qoumi Movement, he left Altaf Hussain's MQM and was living exile in London since 1999.
He was stabbed in London in September 2010, rumors were around that he was trying to form a new party in Karachi
